Dot Lake Village’s Culture Camp is a fun way for children of all ages to discover our traditions, language and songs. An appreciation for our culture is instilled through hands-on activities. Culture Camp is both a community-building endeavor and a way to share our rich heritage with future generations.
Our 2024 Culture Camp, a 3-day event, will take place June 6-8 in Dot Lake Village and surrounding areas.
Highlights from our 2023 Culture Camp are pictured below. Activities included:
- Prayer, songs and dances with elders.
- Preparing and preserving fish.
- Language instruction.
- Finger knitting.
- Water safety and a boat trip.
- Beading.
