Landfill

The landfill and incinerator, located at Dump Road, are open 24/7. The map below shows where to dispose of waste items.

Incinerator

Anyone is allowed to light the incinerator. Burning trash on the ground is prohibited. If you are not sure if an item should be burned, do not burn it.

Burn

Items which may be burned in the incinerator:

  • Paper
  • Cardboard
  • Clean wood
  • Food waste
  • Yard waste or brush cuttings
  • Sorted household waste

DON’T Burn

The following items may NOT be burned:

  • Hazardous waste
  • Used oil
  • Polluted soil
  • Batteries
  • Ammunition
  • Aerosol cans
  • Asbestos-containing materials
  • PCBs
  • Radioactive waste
  • Plastics
  • Styrofoam
  • Electronics
  • Light bulbs
  • Sewage/honey-bucket waste
  • Drums
  • Gasoline, diesel, or oil
  • Aluminum cans
  • Oily rags
  • Household chemicals
  • Mattresses/Furniture
  • Building materials
  • Medical waste
  • Large metals
  • Rubber
  • Propane cylinders
  • Gas canisters
